The pieces are made from a very durable plastic – this is the standard set you'll find used in chess clubs, schools and tournaments all across the country. King measures 95mm / 3.75" (which is a standard tournament set). Base diameter of pieces is 35mm / 1.4" which best suits a 50mm square chess board. The Rigid plastic folding board has brown and white squares. Each square measures 50mm / 2". Overall size is 44.5cm square. Algebraic notation is printed on all 4 sides. Comes with a virtually indestructable plastic box. Very easy to carry and store.
